On Friday 6th December 2013 HSC Innovations in conjunction with the WHSCT Research and Development Office and the Clinical Translational Research and Innovation Centre (C-TRIC) will deliver a workshop on “Support for Ideas to Improve Patient Care” for members of staff in the Western Health and Social Care Trust.

The workshop will introduce the research and innovation support available in developing your idea to provide a solution to improve patient care.  HSC Innovations along with the above partners will describe how potential solutions and knowledge emerging from research and practice can be identified, developed, protected and commercialised to improve patient care.

Topics will include:

  • Research and Development within the WHSCT
  • R&D Office support
  • What is intellectual property?
  • What to do if you have an idea
  • Support available from HSC Innovations
  • Support available from C-TRIC
  • There will be case studies from Northern Ireland HSC and beyond.
