Caution: This post is more than a year old. Be sure to check for more up to date information.

In the Belfast Trust entries are now being invited for The Chairman’s Awards 2011 to recognise the achievements of health and social care teams throughout the Trust. As in previous years the categories reflect the Trust’s five corporate objectives:

  • Safety and Quality
  • Modernisation
  • Partnerships
  • Our People
  • Resources

Colm Donaghy, Chief Executive said, “It is important that we recognise the good work that our staff are doing on behalf of patients and clients across Northern Ireland”.

If you or your team is doing particularly good work in any of these areas, now’s the time to tell everyone about it and have your efforts recognised. Entries will be short-listed on how quality is enhanced and monitored, on leadership and new thinking, management of resources and evaluation.

The final fifteen short-listed entries will be presented on DVD at the Chairman’s Awards ceremony in 2012. First prize in each the five categories is a silver perpetual cup and £10,000 to reinvest in the service area. Second prize is £3,000 and third prize £2,000 – both for service re-investment.

The closing date for entries is Friday 20th January 2012.
