Congratulations to Jenarron Therapeutics, which won the inaugural NISP Connect PitchFest Competition on 23rd June. In front of a panel of distinguished entrepreneurs and an audience of 150 professionals Dr Mark Jenkins, Consultant in Emergency Medicine in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust, presented a compelling business pitch for the team’s wound care putty.

The translucent putty can be gently applied to an open wound to deliver an anaesthetic agent, an equally effective but less traumatic substitute for numbing injections, prior to suturing.

In a vote the impressive three minute pitch beat eleven other business ideas from healthcare, ICT, biotech and engineering, generating significant interest from the assembled business angels.
